2017
GC Leagues:
Nottingham (A) were a clear winner of Division 1 and became Champions, despite having
lost 5-7 to Ashby(A) in the last match of the season.
Sheffield U3A, competing in the FEMCC leagues for the first time, narrowly came top of
Division 2, just ahead of Branston & District U3A. The two teams had the same number of
match wins and game wins and also drew against each other, but Sheffield edged ahead
of Branston on Hoop Points.
Darley Dale were clear winners of Division 3, winning all 5 of their matches. They will thus
return to Division 2 after spending just one year in Division 3.

26-point Association League:
The league was played at Nottingham on 22 July. The result was unusually clear, Ashby’s bisques proving too much for the others, as they won all their matches, conceding only a single game.

2016
GC Leagues:
Leicester A won Division 1 and the Championship having beaten Ashby A to win the tie.
In Division 2, t
hree teams - Ashby B, Nottingham A, and Branston A - scored the same number of match points, but Ashby B will take their place in Division 1 in 2017 having beaten Nottingham A and tied with Branston A.
In Division 3, Bakewell B were clear winners, winning 4 of their 5 matches

26-point Association League:
As so often in the past, the result was very close. Leicester, Nottingham and Pinchbeck each won two of their three matches but Pinchbeck triumphed as a result of winning more games (6) than the other two (5 each).  Click here for the full report.

2015
GC leagues
Long Eaton A won Division 1 and the Championship with Bakewell 2nd, having beaten Ashby A to win the tie.
In Division 2 Pinchbeck were clear winners and were promoted to Div.1, having only entered the division in 2015; Woodhall Spa were 2nd.
In the new Division 3, Ashby B were winners and were promoted to Div.2. They drew with Branston U3A B on match wins but won on game wins and 'who-beat-whom'.

The Perry Bowl was won by Pauline Donner of Woodhall Spa, and the runner-up was Lynda Allen of Ashby.

First - Nottingham, Second - Ashby, Third - Bakewell.
2014GC leagues
Ashby won Division One, but Leicester came a very close second.  The match between the clubs was drawn, if Leicester had won one more game in that match they would have taken the top spot.  Richmond Park were clear winners of Division Two.

2013GC leagues
Ashby won Division One, with Leicester second.  Nottingham (B) were clear winners of Division Two, with Richmond Park second.

Bass Shield at Ashby

Having won their respective blocks, Long Eaton and Leicester battled for the Bass Shield. Each won 3 games and the winner was decided on hoop difference.  Leicester took the trophy having a one hoop advantage.
The individual trophy, the Coors Cup, was won by Mike O’Brian of Ashby.  Four players had won five of their six games, but the player with the best hoop difference (+25) was Mike.  The runner-up with +22 was last year’s winner, Chris Mounfield.  Report from Ashby Club website.

Golf C-level at Nottingham
On a day of  unrelenting rain (a far cry from the balmy conditions of last year) Sandy Brown of Nottingham Club came through as a clear winner.  Click here for Eileen's report.

Delightful Spring weather all weekend - and in the best-of-three final Rachel Rowe (Nottingham and Ashby) beat Sanaa Hallam (Nottingham) by 2 games to nil.

The Jim Kirby Cup was held at Nottingham this year, where it was merged with the club's beginners tournament.

Lincoln Castle 2012
Lincoln Castle was the delightful venue on a welcome sunny Sunday in May for local croquet novices to learn more about the game.

On a hot sunny day on May 31st Nottingham Croquet Club hosted the Federation's first "C" level  Golf Croquet tournament, specially designed for novices and improvers with handicaps of 8 to 12.  Read on.....
